About Zotero

Zotero is the citation management system recommended by the Colgate Libraries.

Colgate users receive unlimited storage for their citations and PDFs.

These instructions describe how to sign up for an account.

Let's Set Up An Account!

1. - Click on the blue "Login In" link in the menu bar on the top-right of the screen.

2. - On the next screen, click on the blue "Register for a free account" link in the menu bar below Log In to Zotero.

3. - Fill in the form.  Be sure to use your Colgate email address to activate your unlimited storage. 

4 - Do the "I am not a Robot" thing, and click on the "Register" button.

Finish Registering.

If you filled in the form correctly, another screen should appear with the statement:

"Thanks for registering. We’ve sent an email to activate your account."

Log into your email account, Find the message with the header "Welcome to Zotero", then click on, or copy and paste the link in the message into your browser.

The new page should have the word "Success" in a green background.  If so, your account is established!
