Colgate Research Databases

Databases provide organized access to scholarly research publications.

They often include tools for refining and improving search results.

Colgate Libraries provide access to hundreds of specialized databases.

This tutorial shows how to access and choose databases fitted to a variety of research subject areas.

Click on the "Databases" link next to "More Tools:"

Databases are listed alphabetically by name, and include brief descriptions of their content.

Finding aids in drop down menus at the top of the page allow for selection of databases by subject content "All Subjects" and type of information "All Database Types".

Access a database by clicking on its title.

Drop down the "All Subjects" menu.  

Select Databases Using LibGuides

Click on "LibGuides" in the small menu bar at the top left of the page.

• Drop down the "Subject Guide" menu
• Click on "Film & Media Studies"
• Then click on "Articles" in the tabbed menu on the page.

There you will find databases that index film & media literature.
